The website I'm working on sells winter equipment, skis, clothing, accessories.

The issue is that, there is a "sale" area on the website. So far so good, but each sale product may have different attributes like, for instance, a clothing item would have "red, blue, green".

If a customer selects Glove - Green, I want the system to know that there is only 4 green gloves, 5 red gloves, and 1 blue glove, and once that attribute is purchased, its gone.

I'm starting to lose hope because Google hasen't been helpful, and I'm really hoping we don't have to make a different product for each different colour.

Look at this link http://www.ubercart.org/docs/user/5181/out_stock_solutions to see the different types of out of stock solutions. You will find one that will work with attributes.

You need a system that tracks how many gloves you have in each color without making separate products. Many online store platforms let you set stock for different colors, so if you have 4 green, 5 red, and 1 blue, it updates as they sell. If your platform doesn’t do this, a plugin or extra tool might help. Don’t lose hope—there’s a way to fix this!
