Surrounding styles prevent embedding

It seems that surrounding styles prevent embedding, which is a bit troublesome when using oEmbed with WYSIWYG. The following triggers oEmbed:

while this doesn't:

<p style="margin: 0 2em 3em 0">http://www.flickr.com/photos/bohman/4217128528/</p>
