I would like to know if Media Mover can convert PowerPoint files to Flash, perhaps with OpenOffice and JODconverter.

It doesn't currently do this (it does do doc -> pdf), but the utility that you reference here is really quite interesting. I'm going to check it out and see if I can put something together with it.
