Notify send out a email when there is new content on my site AND it send a email when it is edited. I don't want that because i use this module to send news to a mailing list and sometimes the content is edited to correct some type errors, i don't want a second notification.

does somebody know how to set notify to send only a message when there is new content?

An option for this is included in the new dev release. Please test.

Duplicate of #150109: get notified of Revised Content, since the new solution deals with providing a configurable option for including updated content or not.
