Hi there,
I have a hierarchical taxonomy that is sorted alphabetically (with the only exception being the subterms).
However, Views displays this in a strange order.

Both in the exposed drop down and in the select list in the filter configuration, the subterms appear oddly as the 2nd and 3rd terms in the list. The 3rd term (Payroll) is part of the 1st category (Accounting/Finance), but other than that I can't see how this list gets its order. I've attached a screenshot to demonstrate what I mean.

Is it possible to control how this list is sorted, and can you indent subterms?

Cheers!

In the extra settings for the taxonomy term filter (The gear link to its right) there is a checkbox that says to display terms hierarchically.

If not using that, it will use the 'weight' setting on the term which probably comes out really strange without hierarchy on since the weights are probably relative in the database.
