Dear Moderator,
I've created a case study at http://drupal.org/node/694998 on www.vitalsignsme.org which we believe will be of value to Drupal.org readers for the following reasons:
* We believe the site is a great looking site that shows off the flexibility of Drupal
* The case study goes into detail how the site was made -- the technical details should be useful to many members of the community
* It contains detailed information on development process and hosting
* It highlights the work of a non-profit organization in promoting science education
* We are contributing the full source code of the entire site back to the community
For the above reasons we feel this case study would benefit the entire community if it was highlighted on the Drupal home page.
I've attached the case study images to this ticket. The image file names match up with labels in the case study such as [home page screenshot goes here].
Sincerely,
Shawn Smiley
Senior Software Engineer

gdemetI'll be more than happy to review this case study. I'm not seeing the images for the post - can you make sure they get added as attachments to this issue? Thanks!
shawn_smiley commentedRe-attached the images for the case study.
silverwing commentedoptimized the screenshots; originals were too large.
silverwing commentedI added the images - had to put the third one in the section below the requested area to prevent major overlapping.
shawn_smiley commentedLooks pretty good, but there is still some overlapping happening.
Can we either add some white space to the sections Participation and User Generated content so that the Images do not overlap the headings?
Then I think it'll be ready to go live.
gdemetThere's also a few run-on sentences and stylistic issues I'd like to fix before giving my +1
Comment #7
shawn_smiley commentedThanks gdemet,
I'll do another review of the text and submit some edits.
Are there specific examples of the run-on sentences that you noticed?
Also, which stylistic issues would you like to see fixed?
gdemetI've made the edits, and re-arranged the screenshots slightly to avoid the overlapping issues we were having before. The only other thing that would make this post even better is a concluding paragraph that talks a little bit about how Drupal was instrumental to the success of this project, but regardless it still gets a +1 from me. Once someone else on the site maintainer's team has an opportunity to review it and give their +1 as well, I'd support this post for immediate promotion.
shawn_smiley commentedThanks for making the edits gdemet. It's looking really good. Give me about 30 minutes and I'll write up a conclusion section that can be added to the case study.
gdemetNo problem, I've turned off Full HTML in the meantime to allow you to save changes to the post.
shawn_smiley commentedI've added a conclusion section to the Case Study.
gdemetLooks great to me; I've turned Full HTML back on.
Any other site maintainers want to review this and provide their +1 so we can get it promoted?
gdemetStill looking for another site maintainer to review this case study and provide their +1. I personally think this is a great use of Drupal for a non-profit organization.
silverwing commented+1 and I found a couple modules there I haven't heard of before!
gdemetThis has now been promoted.
shawn_smiley commentedThank you gdemet and silverwing for your review, suggestions, and promoting the case study.
