Here is my new Drupal site.
Nothing fancy and I just use the Chameleon theme, but boy is it just what we need for this kind of site (hyperlocal, citizen journalism).
Check it out.

Looks Great...
I'm running a community journalism site using Drupal 4.7.2 also. I've customized the bluemarine theme. I'd like to achieve the node layout you have with text flowing around pictures. Whenever I use the img_assist module, the text is broken up. How did you accomplish the textwrap?

I don't know how he does it
I don't know how he does it but I throw a div around the image and float it to either side and set a margin of about 15px. Text will flow down the other side and around.
And whats with those story tags? Is that a module? I can't stand keyword spam.

Sorry, I haven't
Sorry, I haven't responded.
I didn't do anything special. Image Assist seems to work ok.
You can easily use div tags that was suggested....oh, wait..
It looks like you figured it out:-)
I've updated the colors a bit: http://www.poconoherald.com
Also, the story tag is an easy module that I found here. I like it.
