Remove menu from drop down list in node creation form

Is it possible to remove the admin menu from the node creation form dropdown menu setting list?

It becomes very long and makes it hard to locate useful menu items (node typically won't be added to the administration menu). I've tried renaming it with ZZZ to push it down the alphabetical order but it won't be renamed.
