Currently, you can filter based on the 1st, 1st+2nd, and 1st+2nd+3rd parts of a path. It would be nice to have something more flexible so different parts of the path could be matched. But, the design shouldn't confused non-technical users. Perhaps checkboxes like:
[ ] match first part of path (e.g. news/)
[ ] match second part of path (e.g. */politics)
[ ] match third part of path (e.g. */*/local)
[ ] match fourth part of path (e.g. */*/*/new-york)
Would this be confusing to someone non-technical? I would have comments/instructions with an example below the checkboxes just like I have now below the current radio buttons.

green monkey commentedwww.mysite.com/first/second/third/forth
[ ] match first part of path (e.g. first/any/any/any)
[ ] match second part of path (e.g. any/second/any/any)
[ ] match third part of path (e.g. any/any/third/any)
[ ] match fourth part of path (e.g. any/any/any/forth)
here's a different variation ?

kristen polI like that :)
Ok, I will plan on replacing the current path radio buttons with these checkboxes... will try to get to it early next week.
Thanks for the feedback!

green monkey commentedgreat, with the power and depth of this module -- I am thinking up some new and cool ways of applying it.
The theme I am using is a bit low in regions, I will need to add one region to increase the eye candy effect :-)

kristen polI have checked in the new code... the radio buttons are gone and now there are checkboxes.
I'd like feedback as to:
1) does it work as expected? (I did some basic testing)
2) is it confusing - does it need more or clearer instructions?
It'll be in the dev version once the drupal cvs cron runs.
Thanks,
Kristen

green monkey commentedwow ... you have been busy
Ok, will load it up and test :)

green monkey commentedperfect! -)
Only able to confirm at 2nd level - nice, very nice
I don't find it confusing at all.
I think the any and match desc are the way to go
if you want to see it in use, see a node and click the T & T from QT (above random group)
PS: the random adds so much to a site
PSS: I'm thinking with the new pathing, I might even be able to reduce the number of blocks I am currently using - have to think more on it - but pretty sure

kristen polThanks for testing! I'll consider in working... :)

green monkey commentedI just wanted to add a small note, in case someone else reads this.
With this new path tool
I was able to compare content from two different content types and present the result node titles in a block
in less than, lets say about 3 minutes
I couldn't do it that fast in Views
very cool tool for us that struggle with views still
