Glad to see that it's on your radar now.
Hopefully a shared core/API can be produced and then developers can focus on what makes their module unique.

A little update on this one - the Connector and OAuth Connector mentioned in the previous thread has got their first alphas released and all reviews and feature suggestions are very welcome so that I know that what I'm building actually becomes useful to other people and not just fun code :)
