I'd like to allow an anonymous visitor to come to a site, select a single item from a choice of two, and upon selecting it be redirect to the purchase page.

Looking at the ecommerce 4.7 package i'm not sure if this is possible - but would like to know how best to implement this functionality myself.

In addition I'd like to get the user to sign up for a user account whilst purchasing the item, the user should create the account during the purchase, so that at the end the purchase is associated with the user.

The purchase is a subscription to the site in question, should that make a difference.

Any guidance on how best to implement a site subscription purchase would be most welcome.

If anybody is interested in writing code to produce the above functionality I'm also willing to pay - get in touch.

I've been wondering about this too.

The thread links the code, but there doesn't seem to be any mysql ddl for ec_product_role.

http://www.drupalecommerce.com/node/967 links right back to http://drupal.org/node/53888 without adding any value. What's the point in that link? LOL

I'm still none the wiser if things exist or are being hacked together somewhere?

Hi Budda,

I too laughed out lout at the link out from drupal.org to drupalecommerce.com and then right back to drupal.org again...too funny.

To answer your question..a paid_subscriptions.module is being worked upon..the module code is posted at that link: http://drupal.org/node/53888 but you have to email the guy Sym, who posted it for the rest of the script and install.

As a tip, I've recently joined the http://groups.drupal.org/e-commerce group which is a very handy way of keeping in touch with new ecommerce developments. If you haven't subscribed to it yet..I recommend you do. It compliments the ecommerce threads on here, very well, with future development discussions.

Finally, I just updated the Worldpay.module (gateway for worldpay pament integration) and it's not too difficult to hack a membership (in other words, buy a role type) into the module. If you're stuck, give me a shout.

The ecommerce group has been posted in drupalecommerce.com since almost the beginning. Perhaps you would have found the group earlier.

Please see reply to budda above.

Out of consideration for how nice you seem to be in general historically, I had changed my signature earlier on but now....

Budda,
the reason I linked it is because the breadcrumb indicates that there is more information in that tree about using Drupal and ecommerce that I thought others would find useful. And also, I was going to add comments to that page about the development of the module. But heck....
