Are there variables I can include in the export pattern to include several user profile fields? If not, how would I go about including these?

Marking this as closed (won't fix). In the 2.x version of this module I hope to have a hook that other modules can use to provide fields for the import/export process. You could then create a separate module to make user profile fields available.
