I am trying to retrofit WebFM to a directory structure which already exists. As a result I would like users without "administer WebFM" permission to access directories at the WebFM root level, but if I leave the root directory blank for these roles I get an error, and access does not work.
Clearly if setting up from scratch it is no great effort to put another level in the hierarchy, but with an existing structure I have to reconfigure everything else that is using it the way it is.
Please allow a blank role root directory, or some other mechanism, so that non-admin users can see the whole WebFm structure.
Thank you, Tony.

kewlguy commented+1 Please allow blank or root access to the complete file structure from multiple roles, if the setting is left blank.
The current configuration does not work well if you want to be able to collaborate on files with other roles of users.

Anonymous (not verified) commentedHello,
I am still having this problem with v2.16, nearly 2 years on. I am having to give my users admin priviledge over WebFM to allow them simply to upload files, which is not really satisfactory.
Is it likely that this will be fixed?
Regards,
Tony
