missing menu
hi wiseacres, i've just startet up with drupal, so be leniant towards a perfect noob. i've installed the cms, created my admin-account and have no content yet. i was about to customize the look of my site. so i downloaded and unpacked the kubrik-theme, enabled it in the theme-comfiguration and set it to "default" to displace the bluemarine-theme, so far so good. but when i saved my configurations and wanted to continue klicking through the administer-menu just to do a few more first steps, i got aware, that there was no such menu anymore, no create content, no my account, no administer, no log out. you anticipate my problem: with no menu i can't klick through my site, ergo can't get started. where has the menu gone and what do i do, to get it back, where i want it to be? i can't imagine, it's absent willingly. the "readme" says that the right sidebar can be displayed optional, but i couldn't find any checkbox or something in the theme configuration. do i have to edit any php-file and if so, which one? any help would be helpful, thanks! --lev

ps.: excuse my pathetic english and my not knowing a better forum-category to post this help-request in! i know it's got nothing to do with develpoment.
re: missing menu
okay, now i've regained the menu by changing the block's placement settings within blumerine-theme to "right-sidebar" for kubrik, where it showed up immediately. when i changed the settings back to the default "header", the menu showd up there, too, just as expected. though, i miraculously didn't saw it there at firsthand before the changings. so, sorry for the disturbance.
hi
You might be interested to use blockregion module
http://drupal.org/project/blockregion
Maybe it helps. (As the theme defines custom block regions.)
re:hi
thanks for your suggestion Gurpartap, but i don't think this module is necessary, because i want the kubrik-theme to be the only one later on. i just started with bluemarine, because it was the default theme. in fact, i'm thinking about chancing from wordPress blog to drupal cms and am testing drupal right now. i would want the new site to look like my old site but with integrated forum, guestbook, chat, which are external at wordPress present days, if i'll get that straight. i have to admit, that i'm nearly struck dead by the multitude of options, functionalities, settings, configurations, decisions, etc. and am allready struggeling hard with the basics. so thanks for your help. --LeV

same problem
hello
I have same problem but can't solve as described in this thread, I'm trying to use Kubrick theme on 2 websites on 2 webhost and both 2 don't show me menus
any idea? :/
fixed
I also had this problem. To get the stuff back on the right sidebar, I had to edit my block configuration for the kubrick theme. Go here to change it: http://www.yourdomain.com/drupal/admin/block. I changed stuff from "header" to "right sidebar" and everything is working again.
how do i?
i am using the vadar skin for my wordpress installation. how do i set K2 in drupal to use the vader skin as well?
