In my old nodes rel="..." works as normal. But when I make new nodes there is no rel at all. If I edit the old nodes, the rel disappear. If I change the rel settings in the configuration it has effect for the old nodes, but still no rel at the new ones... Is it safe to uninstall the link module and install it again?

This is a duplicate of #664990: No Rel-Attribute.

No, it's not safe. If you uninstall the link module, you'll lose all the link data you already have.
