When creating a Page, you have several options regarding the page and its title, including "No Extras" and "Leave Title".

After you've created the page, there's no way to edit these settings. There's never an opportunity to see those settings again, even when creating a new variant.

"No extras" and "Leave title" are not page settings.

They sound like settings on the Node content pane. Just select the gear on the node content pane and click settings.

Just a follow-up to confirm (for anyone else who finds this thread) that that is exactly what I needed to do, and to note that I would never have thought to look there - I could swear I first saw these settings when creating the page, and I have no memory of seeing them when I added the node content pane. Maybe I just remembered wrong.
