Help - cannot see georss info with Simplepie

I am using Feedapi 6x-1x-dev with feedapi_mapper 6.x-1.3 and Simplepie. I have seen the threads related to older versions not supporting this data but checked my files to confirm the noted patches were in fact in place. However, when I import a feed with I cannot see the lat/lon data when trying to map it to the appropriate spot.

I am certain I have missed something looking at previous discussions about this but I cannot for the life of me see where. Will someone with some experience importing and mapping georss:point data please help me understand what I am obviously overlooking.
