A user who is otherwise restricted from editing an event node (through taxonomy_access and the standard node_access features-- you shouldn't be able to edit someone elses content), can access the repeating event settings for the event. The edit tab is disabled, but the event_repeat tab is accessible and visible.

I have the same set up you describe (4.7, repeating events, taxonomy_access and user role permissions) and am not seeing this?

not really any help sorry.. just marking post

I should add, the user does is assigned to a roll with "create repeat events," but the user shouldn't then be able to make repeating events out of other's posts? It may be another access module problem and I'll explore that possiblity further. I am also running simple access with the na_multiple module (that allows multiple access control modules to be installed at once). I'll check further..

This should be a non-issue as eventrepeat goes forward. Please see this patch that has already been applied to cvs.

http://drupal.org/node/67823

thehunmonkgroup (the original author) is currently reviewing the one known bug (http://drupal.org/node/69920) that has been introduced by this update, and after that, this will become part of 4.7.

I'll leave this issue active until this upgrade happens for 4.7.

Status: Active » Closed (won't fix)

Marking this as won't fix for 4.7.x-1.x. You will probably want to upgrade to 4.7.x-2.x, which should be posting soon. (Most of the issues that are left in the 2.x version were present in the 1.x version as well.)
