Don't freak out! This is just a shopping list of my dream features. Also, forgive me but I'm still mired in 4.68 at the moment so if something's been implemented on the 4.7 version, hellaluha!

Integration with CiviCRM Profiles

One thing I like from the Volunteer Module is its integration with CiviCRM. When annonymous users click on 'volunteer' they get whisked off to a CiviCRM profile which they can fill out and then volunteer themselves.

'Sign Up' Option as "link" at bottom of Posting

This would be particularly valueable in Teaser Mode where people can't immediately see the form.

Ability to Answer 'Yes', 'Maybe' and 'No

Discussed elsewhere at one point.

Ability to Email People Who've Signed Up as a Group

I think this was a feature in RSVP. In any case, it's kind of handy when you want to send something to people in addition to the reminder.

As I said, this is more a dream scenario than anything else.

i'm not freaking out. ;) in fact, many of these ideas are duplicates. unfortunately, the previous maintainer of signup marked a lot of feature requests as "postponed", which means you don't see them in the default view of the issue queue.

however, these sorts of "wish list" issues are almost useless, since each feature can be in a totally different state, some might already be done, different people might care about each one, etc. plus, i'm definitely not going to review and apply a single patch that tries to implement all of them. down with monolithic patches. :)

therefore, i'm marking this issue as "wont't fix" not because i don't think any of the ideas are good ones, but because i don't want to deal with a single issue trying to address more than 1 topic at a time. so, here's what you should do:

1) query for all issues and find if any of your feature requests are duplicates. if so, instead of opening a new issue, just add a new comment indicating you want that feature, too, and if necessary, set the status from "postponed" to active (or code needs work, needs review, etc as appropriate).

2) for any features you want to see that don't already have issues posted, please submit *separate* issues for each feature. this makes it *much* more likely that any one of those features will be noticed by someone else who cares about that feature, worked on, and eventually make it into the code.

p.s. FYI: i'm on vacation until mid july, so i won't be working on any new code until after that. the previous maintainer was kind enough to keep an eye on the issue queue and help out with any serious bug fixes, but he's not going to be reviewing and applying patches for feature requests anymore.
