This api also supports walking directions. Transit is not available because of licensing issues...but we can link to a new browser window with a url included our start and end addresses.

To be honest, I dislike opening new browser windows. It takes the focus away from the site the user is currently on. That's actually why I put in the facebox overlay.

I agree that walking directions might be useful, and I'm willing to include it in a future release (it's a simple matter anyway).

However, adding a button that opens a link in a new window can easily be done by overriding the theme for this module. I'd suggest that approach if you want transit directions.
