Hey all,
I'm looking for a good hosting solution for my first Drupal site. I've worked with Microsoft technologies for years, but this is my very first foray into using Drupal. The Drupal site I've been working on has been on Windows also, an Acquia Drupal install using Web Platform Installer. I'm completely comfortable working in a Windows / IIS environment, but not so much in a Linux / Apache environment. That means I'll probably need a company that would hold my hand a bit when I setup a new site and transfered my templates and whatnot. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, does the fact that I'm developing in an Acquia Drupal install impact my choices? Are there any questions I should be asking, and don't realize it?
Thanks a ton.
Hmm... P.S.S. Why can't I find a search function for the forums?

Also, Ubercart
I forgot to mention that I'll also be using UberCart with file downloads (purchase online, get instant access to download file), so that will be a consideration as well.
Thanks again for the help.

Thanks
I'm not tied to hosting it on Windows. In fact, if linux is the better option I would rather do that. What I really need I suppose is a managed / turn-key hosting solution. I would prefer to do no more work on the server than ftp'ing files. I definitely don't want to get into administrating a server if at all possible.
Turnkey
There is at least one turnkey system available, I've just seen it mentioned.
I always feel crippled when I use Windows (as I'm doing right now), but I can imagine you being less comfortable with Linux. Certainly, it's worth trying to see whether you can adapt yourself (and having recently had a run-in with Conficker I'm not happy with Windows security).
Set up a test system using whatever virtual solution the turnkey system needs, and get some practice with it. A turnkey systems should have most of what you want already set up, so you can concentrate more of your efforts on what's important.
You could also try setting up a Ubuntu server install, those are pretty bare, then take a copy of it (regularly). You should get a filesystem with about half-a-gig used - a small enough amount to backup often. Quite possibly, you will want to set up several sites before you're happy. I have.
