Is there a way to send an existing node via this module? Or another module? If not - can I please submit this as a feature request?

I think the Send module does what you're looking for.

On the send module -

I know you can send nodes - but can you send nodes to groups/roles?

I don't know how that module works - only what is in the description, but it probably doesn't do groups/roles.

It probably wouldn't be too difficult to add this to Mass Contact, but it will take quite some time, and I have a number of other things on my plate, so I'm not likely to get to it any time soon.
