Hi
"I came across the requirement related to the playing media files from the custom module". My requirement is listing all the videos from the DB which i have uploaded using the custom node type.So for listing i have made a custom module which is working perfectly. But in this listing i would like have a option call "Watch It". When people comes and click the "Watch It" a video player need to pop up..

can any tell me what approach i need to take. I am totally confused as i am beginner in Drupal.

Not sure why you would want to create a module for this-- you should be able to do with with views and something like swftools.
