I have install the latest version of Drupal and am try to set up the event module. I can install the module but when I try to create an event I get a 'page not found error'. Can anybody advise me on how to setup a module properly?

Maybe stupid but are you logged in as admin?
I installed the event module yesterday according to the instructions and it works fine.

Have you checked permissions? Almost every module I can think of needs to have this done so that you can interact with it if you are not signing in as the first user.

I have checked the permissions and am the only user on the site so far (test site on home pc) I'll have another look at the documentation and see how I go
