Can I hide the html markup from email generated by CCK form?

Hi Folks,

I hope I can explain this. I'm using CCK to create a "request an appointment" form. I'm using Rules to send an email to an arbitrary address when it's submitted and I'm using Tokens to provide the content of the email. Two problems:

1. Is there a way to remove all the html tags that show up in the email such as p tags and span tags?
2. Although I am using a 12 hour time format when they select a time for the appointment, every token I choose to include in the email shows the time in 24 hour format. Any thoughts?
