There are two places in the Handbook that contain guidelines on writing user interface text (at least).

There is this out of date page: http://drupal.org/node/24566 which lives in the Contribute to Doc / guides and standards section. This page points to it: http://drupal.org/node/24268 and possibly others.

There is also this page: http://drupal.org/node/501452 and its sub-page http://drupal.org/node/604342. These are in the "best practices" section of the developer guides. And I think they are much much more up to date. Not everything in them has to do with UI text or writing.

My feeling is that the first page should be removed and its links changed to point to the second page, and anything that is on that first page that isn't currently on the second should be put there.

To be clear: I think we should only have 1 place discussing UI and UI text standards, that UI and UI text should be together, and they both should live in the development section. The doc section on standards should have a link there.
