hi there, i'm looking for a way to automatically geocode (lots of existing) nodes. the nodes contain a (title-) field that usually results in a correct geo-position when inserted into the "search field" of a gmaps point field. does anyone know a smart way to- kind of "batch geocode"- existing nodes using a given field value as a search string?

Take a look for the function gmaps_geocode() and try to use this server side geocoding reference.
