Views - showing no results as default

Hi there,

I have made the following website which has a directory feature which my client would like to show with no results as default. But we would still like to show the drop-down fields that are currently there. They look for the CCK item type of 'directory' and display the relevant details below.

Any help much appreciated as I have tried playing around with lots of the options within Views without much success and this has been ongoing for over a month without me being able to find a way.
