Can I show relationships in a view of type "User" not "User Relationships"

I have created a view of the type 'user' to create a member directory of users who have a certain value in an element of their user profile. What I'd like to do is have a little icon or text indicator added to each row of that view to indicate whether the user viewing the page has a relationship with the user in the row of the view. For example, if I am looking at a view that displays 10 users and I have a relationship with two of them, I would like to show the two differently in that display of 10. Is that possible?
