Hi all,
I'm trying to make calendar and date work together to realized an event calendar..
I'm following this article:

That I see is identical to the one that I've found on drupal.org, but after a couple of hours I'm still not understanding whats wrong.
According to the guide, after installing all the modules that I need, I:
- created a new content type called "event"
- created for the content above a new custom field
- create a test node of the type above
- Duplicate the view "caledar", and now the problems start.
I duplicate the view, named it and click next. In the screen with all the details, on the panel "arguments" I've not the field "Date (node.changed)" that is specified in the article... I have "Date: Date (node) "
I tryed to use it but drupal tell me in the preview in the bottom of the page:
The Date argument in this view must be set up to provide a default value set to the current date. Edit the argument, find 'Action to take if argument is not present.', choose 'Provide default argument', then select 'Current date'.
and again:
The date argument date fields must be added to this query. You can exclude them if you do not want them displayed in the calendar.
what's wrong?
ALready tryed to do all from the begining three times. Tryed to delete all the modules and install again. Nothing changed.

thank you for you erports. I successfully imported them in my site but I have some problems...
I enable the blocks events and the block upcoming but:
- The block calendar does not show any events, even if I created some after importing your code
- The block upcoming shows them but gave as date and hour the date and hour when the event node was created and not when the event will be
can you please give me an help with these issues too ?

Hi Pete, started to be frstrating about the errors I checked all the modules and db tables. My idea was that something gone wrong in the tests before, so, since mine was a test site before upgrading to the new version from 5.x (where I was using events module...) I deleted all the modules and tables related to the modules involved.
I reloaded all, only changing a thig. I used the previous version of calendar, since I saw some post about some bugs.
Well, now all seems to work and the last code you gave me for upcomming events is working well. So probably something was dirty in the db.
I have one last question if I can and if you have time.
In the content type event that I created, there is a way to specificate a text field to be used as a text for the event ? Url is ok for me, but I need the text too.

I konw that it's better to understand how to do it myself, but I found it not simple and not so intuitive as I thought. Follow the tutorials on site about drupal and found errors, as occured in my case, is really fustratring anyway. So I think to ask an help to the community. It's only some days that I'm working with views and I really didn't understand them yet. I need more time.
