I don't have permission to edit http://drupal.org/contribute/development in order to resolve issue #709370: Contributing to Development page needs updating

I am already a regular doc admin (i.e. I can edit pages with the Documentation input format)... Can someone either lower the barrier to editing on the page, or give me more permissions please?

It's set to filtered HTML but it's one of very few "Page" (and "Story") nodes on d.o. Nearly all the content in the handbook is "Book page" nodes. Unfortunately only site maintainers and admins can edit "Page" and "Story" nodes.

jhodgdon - i added the reminders to the bottom of the issue page and deleted the comments - like a complete goof who has a head cold and didn't pay attention that i was editing an issue instead of editing the page. Once the drugs kick in, I should be more alert.

If you have changes for the page itself, let me know what you want and I can make the changes.

IMO, it needs to be a book that we can add child pages to, so we can add some structure to Contribute to Dev like we have in Contribute to Doc. Can we delete the page entirely and replace it with a book page that can be edited and outlined and such?

When you go to http://drupal.org/contribute/documentation you are in the http://drupal.org/getting-involved book.

In my opinion, http://drupal.org/contribute/development should be there too, and it should be a regular book page, probably with documentation input format, so any doc admin can edit it, and we can add child pages, etc.

I've moved the page http://drupal.org/contribute/development into the http://drupal.org/getting-involved book.

I've set the input filter to 'documentation'

Am marking this fixed. However, if you want it in a different order within getting-involved, let me know and i'll change the weight.

Thanks... but I still cannot edit the page. See #1 above as probable reason...

Would it be too much trouble to recreate it is a book node and with the same content? Sorry to be so much trouble...

try it again.
I copied the page to a new node.
I unpublished the original page.

It should not be restricted now.
