Hi,
I installed a fresh copy of Drupal in order to test out some themes. However, a lot of the themes I have been rying (the plutado_blue, notechaos,...) look "weird" when enabled. The background is there, but the actual page content is strewn all over the place, as if no CSS was applied. I first thought, that maybe these themes were subthemes and I only forgot to also install the master, but that does not seem to be the case. Clearing the cache won't help either. Anyone got some ideas or can point me in the right direction?

Make sure you've cleared your browser cache; that's often the problem.
