If default imagefield is defined and active, default image is being added to every new node as the first image in the list.

I have tested this locally by creating a content type with an image field and assigning a default image to that field.

I have not been able to reproduce this error either when importing to multiple nodes or a single node.

How is your content type and imagefield import configured?
