I'm still working on this but many of the features for musicians are in place. I still need to work on styling profile pages and creating separate registration for listeners, podcasters and musicians. This site relies heavily on the dashboard, audio, event and video modules. I'm also using LoginToboggan, Invite, Flexinode and Tagadelic among others. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

I went to check out your drupal things and ended up farting around for three hours exploring the music on this site. This is a very well presented music site. I like it! Joeh

It's coming together slowly as I figure out how things should be presented, what modules to use, how to get around gaps, etc. Still a far cry from where I want it to be but I'm learning and it does help to have some good music to start out.

Hi

Nice work, i like your website, i am working on same project, did you try the playlist module ! http://drupal.org/project/playlist

It work great with audio module

I want to ask you a question about your registration form in Member Information
"Please let us know whether you are registering as a Musician, Podcaster or Record Label."

When a user choose Musician, what is the difference Menu , Page, information that the musician get, did you set them to a specific group, or something, i want to do the same think but i want a different registration form, for everyone

Register as musician
Register as Podcaster
Register as Record Label

And then have different user info for every group, (its can be done with webform) or you can set a different groups and user can join a group in the registration form, i don't try anything, and my project still in the very begining stage

Thanks, I'm still working on it. I have not messed with the playlist module yet. I need to make some time to take a look at that one though.

What I did was create different roles for Musician, Podcaster, Record Label, etc. The roles each have different permissions for the various modules. So I've now got a simple way to let people register into those roles I've created. The net effect on the site is not in the menus but in the module functions. So only the "podcaster" role can download music, for example.

I would prefer to customize the registration so that each role has their own custom registration form. For example, I would like podcasters to have a place to put their main podcast rss feed but not for musicians.

They've done something interesting over at http://www.projectopus.com that has similar functionality to what I desire.

Cheers,

Rob

Hello

I am working on same project and i am planning to use webform http://drupal.org/project/webform

In your case you have
Musician, Podcaster, Record Label

You may create a form registration for Musician and add them manually when registred, and choose one role to be register by drupal form, with url alias you can have something like musician/register , podcaster/register its my solution for different form registration in the moment , you can try and use usernodes http://drupal.org/node/50850

Cool site...

I have a similar project. Also currently redesigning the site.
Your site's scope is more broad. Anyway, good luck to you. . .
