I want to sell a downloadable product. I enabled the file module. However, I could not go through the buying process unless address.module was enabled. i thought this requirement had been removed for downloadable products.

I have June 27th version.

Also, the notification email says we will notify you as soon as your product is shipped. The email has places for shipping an billing addresses, which are blank. The email should tell the person where to download the item. If a site has both physical goods and downloadable goods, different types of email should be sent.

I've run into the same issue using the generic product to sell a role (i.e. membership). Even though the product is non-shippable, after registration the user is prompted to input a shipping/delivery address. From cart/view, selecting the checkout button goes to user/3/address/add?destination=cart%2Fcheckout

hello,

i'm mostly here for comment 2, that when i purchase from my site as an anonymous user I can get through the process fine, but then I get an email wihtout a link, just a thing that says I'll be notified. At this point I can go in and see that the purchase has happned, what file was purchased, etc, but I'll have to hand deliver it if the site won't.

I'm on v5-3
