I was using Pathauto 6.x-2.x-dev (2009-dec.-05) and replaced it with today's Pathauto 6.x-2.x-dev (2009-feb.-10).

Looks like there are issues. Both MENU_LOCAL_TASK are displayed in the "/admin" page and not at "/admin/build/path" as expected.

As a results Drupal does not load any pathauto admin screen and both MENU_LOCAL_TASK in "/admin" are generating errors.

After reverting back to Pathauto 6.x-2.x-dev (2009-dec.-05) and reseting the menus with Devel, everything went back to normal.

I can't duplicate this. Did something go wrong when your menu was rebuilt? Did you clear your menu cache?

When using (2009-feb.-10) I tried clearing the cache and the menu cache to no avail. No warning displayed or error displayed.

Just to make sure, I reinstalled version (2009-feb.-10) rebuilt the cache and the MENU_LOCAL_TASK were once again badly placed.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function token_info() in / . . . /sites/all/modules/pathauto/pathauto_user.inc on line 104

Reverting to (2009-dec.-05) and rebuilding the cache solved the issue.

OK. I shall try to duplicate this on another site.

OMG! The tarball I used was incomplete.

I downloaded again Pathauto 6.x-2.x-dev and it grew by 4k compared with my earlier download.

It's the first time I see this behavior.

I should also say that I did some funky stuff with the release node so this is not really surprising. Sorry about that.

In retrospective it was rather funny. :-)
