yaph commentedWhat cache do you want to be cleared? The whole page cache, i.e. all entries?

Dret commentedMy request is to avoid a long waiting time, for end users, to see new contents posted by authors, if a long time cache is enabled (i.e. one day long).
You are talking about "all entires": do You mean "all nodes" or "all content types"...??
Naturally I prefer the solution that, reaching for the target, could have a less impact on the system resources (I don't know how the clear cache function works!).
Thaks a lot!
Bye.

yaph commentedIf you add content that is promoted to the front page the front page cache will be cleared, so the new content is visible to all users. This is one of the things the content refresh module does.

Dret commentedOk, I need an explanation:
In my front page there's a Views page that show a simil-teaser text of the last content "promoted in front" by authors.
There's also other views (as block) that show a list of the last content published.
Are all that Views affected by the function you mean above?
Thanks!
Bye.

yaph commentedNo the views cache is not affected. Cleaning the whole views cache is certainly not an option for performance reasons. I don't know whether there is a method to get the views in which a node would show up, but you can set for each view whether it should be cached or not.

YK85 commented@Dret - did you find a solution to the Views cache issue? I am having the same issue =(
