Just like comment module. Allow admin to decide if a certain node type should have a "write to author" link attached to it. It makes sense for forum topics, but doesn't make send for other node types to have this link.

Please test! I only tested the drupal5 changes, not the backport to 4.7.x.

The options show but do not save? Upon save in content types settings page the 3 options return to un-checked.

I don't have a 4.7.x setup to work with. Since the code is there now but not working, changing this from feature request to bug.
