illect recordings, hip hop label, has launched their site using drupal, and a (of course) modified xtemplate.

http://www.illect.com

the registration is mainly only for the press, and no discussion boards are active. we use the site to provide easy content management, a store front, and to a certain extent, internal communications between the owners (website issues, etc. using the project module).

contributed modules in use:
filestore
ecommerce
node_image
event
song

comments and questions welcome.

Wow, nice design!

Style is very different from most Drupal sites I've seen - good to see some diversity.

How easy did you find it to do this with Drupal's template system?

i used xtemplate "pushbutton" as the starting point for the customization. xtemplate is very straightforward. it was easy to do some customization, like removing the "submitted by" piece, and changing the layout.

more later...

Nice modification of xtemplate! Can't even tell it's xtemplate at all. It gets boring seeing so many cookie cutter template-based sites, sort of like all those MT sites that use the boring blue template. This shows how you can take any basic Drupal template and style it to make it more interesting. Nicely done.

I'm very impressed. I'm using Xtemlate from drupal-4-4-0 too and it really rocks.

Website is great and I liked music too. Are you using icecast or similar to deliver your music?
