I tried both this module and Imagefield Crop, as of now, this module is better, it works with IE while I Crop has problem with it.
It has better interface. This module is much more finished than Imagefield Crops, and I like this module's style better.
But it isn't imagefield related module..... so I cannot use Imagefield related modules with this, for example, using image uploaded for profile picture with this module is impossible.
if this module was under Filefield/Imagefield selection, Imagefield Avatar (simple module with about 150 lines of code, but i can't mod it...).

I asked Imagefield Aavatar maintainer but he said he doesn't use Uberimage, so its unlikely he will add the feature.

So my request here, please add an option for this module to conceal itself under Filefield, or implement the function of Uberimage for Profile Picture?

Well, I am not using filefield as a base, like imagefield, so I just can't mark me as imagefield... Or so I think. I may take a look, but don't expect this too soon, lots on the todo list already.

Ok, thanks for answering.
I looked at the Imagefield Avatar module, it was rahter simple with only some 150 lines, just that I'm new to Drupal, and don't know how those variables and functions interact with each other.

What it did was (as their alpha stage feature) to find the 'first' image file associated with a node in a chosen Content Type, then swap it with the Core's profile picture that is associated with the user of related node (content profile for example).
It is very useful with content profile, as you can allow users to upload and crop image using this module, then it can be the profile image for them.

Anyway, will be looking forward to it!

I think this looks like a great module (haven't tried it yet)... but, it would be MUCH better it if was an imagefield widget rather than a CCK widget. 90% of people are using imagefield to handle their images and it has a long list of add on modules that enhance it's functionality (filefield_sources, insert, filefield_meta etc etc)... If this module was based on ImageField I think you would attract a very wide audience. But, unfortunately I think many people would be reluctant to move from imagefield to this module - I know I will not. It's a shame because this looks really promising.

It could have been nice indeed.
Unfortunately when this module was created, the requirements were still not clear, and it would have put us under additional constraint to be a filefield widget. We could even have been blocked.
I am not even sure that, at the moment, all the features of uberimage could fit into the constraint of filefield.
