Someone today reported a doc bug related to example.profile, which is in the contrib repository, one level above the examples directory that was initiall imported to set up the Examples for Developers project.

I'd like to suggest that Examples for Developers adopt this neglected file. It needs more doc, including probably a message at the top explaining that it's a sample install profile.

The D7 version is totally wrong, also -- it's just a copy of the D6 version as far as I can tell.

Here's the issue that brought this to my attention, by the way: #712870: hook_profile_tasks api documentation nonexistant?

I don't think this can technically be done, as profiles need to go into /profiles.

I'm all in favor of it, but it will need to be done in a new project.
