I tried to use Onlinestatus for jabber using only edgar (no onlinestatus.org server configured).

I have the following error
: Connect failed in .../modules/onlinestatus/messengers.inc.php on line 119.

I have checked the url in my browser, all seems ok.
Also, I was not sure I must enter the jabber bot account, error is the same with or without it.

A few Questions:
What was the URL of the Edgar server?
Did you tried it on a local Development Machine?
Does edgar.netflint.net work?

Sometimes your ISP does some Blocking, or the Edgarserver is blocking your Webserver.
The major Drawback of my Module is that it needs externeal service which could change. The Xfire site has changed recently and the onlinestatus.org Service to, both are broken at the moment, but edgar support works for me.
