Hi all,

First time Drupal user here running WAMP

I've read that for whatever reason Drupal 6 is incompatible with PHP 5.3 and that to fix the error I must downgrade to PHP 5.2, is there any other way around this?

As I get Deprecated: Function ereg() is deprecated in F:\wamp\www\drupal-6.15\includes\file.inc on line 902

When I run drupla.

I tried the suggestion at this page but it turned out the code in my drupal had already been ammended and I still get

Any help would be great

Till this is completely fixed there are some workarounds towards the bottom of this issue: #360605: PHP 5.3 Compatibility.

You can download and install a PHP 5.2.x "addon" to WAMP.

http://www.wampserver.com/en/addons_php.php

You just then select the 5.2.x version instead of the 5.3.x version, by clicking on the WAMP icon in the system tray. e.g. PHP -> Version -> 5.2.11
