Consider the drupal.org site.
when i logout and try to create a new user it is asking for personal details how can i get it implemented into my site. I also have the user module for my site but it is just asking for username and email-address and it is not asking for other personal information when i am trying to create a new user account. How can i get it done...........................

There is module available in drupal core i.e. Profile module. enable that module and under user management there is profile option available where you can add field as you want.
