I am probably missing something really simple here, but I can't seem to get the categories on the catalog page to display as aliases and I don't want to break the store blindly changing settings.

You can see what I am referring to here : http://www.villacollectionsdesign.com/catalog
When you mouse over any of the 15 categories, they display as http://www.villacollectionsdesign.com/catalog/1 or http://www.villacollectionsdesign.com/catalog/1 rather than http://www.villacollectionsdesign.com/catalog/jewelry or http://www.villacollectionsdesign.com/catalog/art respectively.

I am able to easily get the individual products to alias correctly simply by clicking the 'use automatic alias' during product node creation, but I can't find that option anywhere for the catalog categories.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is sub optimal for my site.

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is a stupid thing to ask :(

1) Install the Pathauto module
2) Visit admin/build/path/pathauto and regenerate the catalog aliases

I am still having this problem. I completed the steps listed above, but instead of

http://www.villacollectionsdesign.com/catalog/art

i get

http://www.villacollectionsdesign.com/catalog/%5Bcatpath-raw%5D

shouldn't the catpath-raw be the name of the category?

It was a pathauto issue (http://drupal.org/node/828326), not Ubercart. Updating the module and deleting aliases and regenerating fixed the problem.

The modules updated were (for Ubercart users troubleshooting this issue):

Pathauto 6.x-1.x-dev (2010-Mar-14) to 6.x-1.x-dev (2010-Jun-14)
and Token 6.x-1.12 to 6.x-1.13
