What will ahah_helper look like in D7

Issue Summary

Hello and thank you very much for simplifying life for AHAH folks.

I have been using the ahah_helper module extensively in my form-based modules and have started to plan for an eventual migration to D7. Therefore, I have a few questions for the author.

1. Will D7 core have built-in support for the ahah_helper features or will this module work as-is in D7?

2. What will the process of migrating code to D7 look like if the D7 core absorbs ahah_helper?

Any other information regarding moving forward with D7 would be appreciated.

D7 core will *not* absorb AHAH Helper. In fact, D7 core renamed #ahah to #ajax. I did not have the chance to follow the evolution of Forms API in D7, but I know that things haven't become as simple as I'd have liked, i.e. not as simple as in the AHAH Helper module.

I'd say that it will look almost identical in D7 from an API perspective — i.e. your code will not or barely have to be changed.

so basically AJAX and AHAH Helper modules are to some extent part of D7 Core and probably won't be ported to D7.
