I am sure I must be missing something. Installed subscription module, read everything I could find (even the code). I still cannot figure out how I would assign a particular user to receive email every time any new content of a particular type is posted.

How do I do this? Thanks

but can the admin decide which content types are subscribable by which users?

2 years later, I live the same situation. I'm seeking for a way to choose the notifications that users will receive... The better would be a simple table that allow administrator to choose the nodes concerned.
I use the subscription module but I do not think notify or notifications can do it neither !!

Did you find a solution ?
