Saving the new node keeps the UI at "Loading...". New node saved, not linked.

1. Edit node PARENT.
2. On one of the node reference fields -- in my case a Poll -- use the *Popups: Add and Reference* link to open the New node popup.
3. Enter the title and other required information in the node.
4. Save the new node.

EXPECTED: The popup saves the node, returns to the PARENT node edit form.

RESULT:

- The popup is closed, but the screen is stuck with the ''Loading...'' status message over the transparent black layer.
- The parent edit page is not refreshed.
- The new node IS indeed created.
- The browser console reports: ''TypeError: Result of expression 'data.messages' [null] is not an object.''

This issue occurs with Safari 4 and Firefox 3.5 on a Mac.
