i tried to enable the latest released insert module 6.x-1.0-beta3. i want to use the module with plain text content, but the Insert configuration does not turn up in the cck field definition. i installed the latest wysiwyg module 6.x-2.0 and enabled that as well, but still no luck.

could you make Insert define its requirements so that people can not install it without its prerequisites? (and then hopefully i find out why its not working for me)

Me too. insert widget didn't shown up

Insert right now only works with FileField and ImageField. The trouble is Insert is DEPENDENT on anything, it just works with certain modules (as noted on the project page).

I've added a README and better installation instructions on the project page, which hopefully will help clarify the intent of Insert.
