Three Questions

Right now I have Registration Role with Approval enabled.
1.) This wasn't a problem with a previous site, but on my newest one, when a user goes to create a new account, they have the option of selecting the roles I have chosen, but when they submit, they are still logged on as authenticated users, not what they checked during registration. Any suggestions?

2.) When this was working previously, it appeared that if no role was selected, the new user was automatically given the authenticated role. Is there a way to make checking a role at registration required?

3.) I am also using the Profile Role module to create different profile fields for different user types. Is this compatible with Registration Role with Approval? Even though they are made public, required, and visible at registration, they are still not visible at registration, either before or after selecting a role.

Help with any of these problems would be greatly appreciated.
